INTRODUCTION

Bypass Filtration maintains oil quality providing cost savings through reduced maintenance downtime   and extension to oil life.

Very small particles contribute to system failure just as much as large particles for which “In-Line”  filters are designed to capture. Additionally, the presence of moisture contributes to and accelerates  the process of oil degradation through bacterial growth, acid formation and sludge build up.

Despite the advances in fluid technology and the associated lubricating properties, contamination is  still generated by the action of materials moving against one another. The friction created in this  condition generates particles, however small, dependent on the value of the film of fluid between these  moving parts (I.e. Viscosity). Moisture adversely affects viscosity.

“In-Line” filters do not remove moisture.
THE CHAININGS BYPASS FILTER PROVIDES THE SOLUTION FOR BOTH THE REMOVAL OF SMALL  PARTICULATES CONTAMINATION AND MOISTURE REMOVAL.
