INSULATING OIL FILTRATION UNIT

(Transformers and other associated electrical oil installations)

Chainings Ltd have a a range of exclusive Filtration Units which offer economic and simple installation when applied to Insulating Oil systems.

All models feature the unique Chainings filter media product to remove carbon, water and other particulate contamination (e.g Silicates, Loose Solid Insulation fibres)

Can be used as a Service/Maintenance tool or installed as a permanent feature without the need to isolate the system being applied.

The Filtration units maintains oil quality by constant circulation of the Insulating Oil through the Chainings filter media.

Benefits

  1. Capable of removing carbon and particle contamination over 1 Micron in size.

  2. Has the ability to reduce water contamination down to 5-10ppm

  3. Reduces the risk of sludge build-up

  4. Improves di-electric strength of the insulating oil

  5. Can be applied, either as a precursor to improve the efficiency of the dehydration process or, subsequent to oil purification

  6. Will extend the time when dehydration and/or oil purification processes become necessary

  7. Has the ability to reduce and control contamination which will slow the advances of oil oxidation and creation of acids

  8. Helps to prevent premature ageing of the applied application

  9. Simple connection and operation

  10. Able to operate unattended with automatic isolation and alarm in the event of filter blockage.

  11. Can also be used for refilling systems
